When it comes to direct sales techniques, one thing that any successful home party consultant will tell you is that you have to make your presentations engaging and informative. You gotta get them to listen and participate.
In direct sales, party games are the best way to achieve this goal. The best games are not only fun, but will encourage your guests to pay attention to what you have to say. So keep on reading for some great direct sales party games that will do just that.
For this game, you will need a few decks of playing cards. Inform your guests that whenever they hear the word ‘free’, they should yell out “I want it!”
The first person to do this each time will get a card. Lay the cards out, face down and have them mixed up then let each person select a random card.
Let them know that they are not to look at their cards. If they do, they have to give it back. At the end of the presentation, the guests can flip over their cards and tally up their scores according to the following chart.
The person with the most cards wins.
2-10= face value of the card
Face cards (Jack, Queen, King, Joker)= 15 points
Ace= 25 points
Throughout your presentation makes sure you use the word free fairly often. Some examples of ways you can weave it into your presentation are:
*When you host your own party you can earn this item for free
*My loyal customers get free shipping on their orders
*I love my job because it gives me the freedom to live life the way I want to
*One of the perks of joining my team is the opportunity to win free prizes such as products, vacations, and even cars.
Were You Listening?
Now, this game will test just how well your guests were listening. You play this game at the end of your presentation.
To make sure they are listening, you can say something coy at the beginning such as “Ok, we’re about to get down to the products – and, yes, you will be tested on this”.
At the end of your presentation, you can ask them different questions about things that you discussed during your presentation. Some great ideas for questions include:
*How long have I been with this company?
*What is the thing I love the most about my job?
*What are 3 perks of hosting a party?
*Which of the products that I discussed is the top seller?
You can also ask more specific questions about the products. When it comes to direct sales party games, the goal is always to entertain AND engage.
You want your guests to have fun, but you also want them to pay attention to your presentation – after all, fun in itself does not pay the bills.
