If you are in direct sales, the best way to build your business is to build a team. That means that, at some point, you have to learn how to recruit people into the business. Did you know that playing games is one great way to do this. Among the many direct sales techniques for sponsoring people into the business, that is one of my favorites. Read on for some direct sales party tips and free game ideas that are all geared towards recruiting.
Free Party Game Ideas #1: The Q & A GAME
For this game you will need tickets of some sort. You can either create your own or simply buy some raffle tickets. The point of this game is to get your guests thinking about the business opportunity and whether or not it is something that they would be interested in doing.
Tell them that for the next few minutes you will be awarding tickets to people who ask you questions. Some consultants may allow them to ask any questions about the products, hosting a party, or the business. Personally I would focus on asking questions about being a consultant since you should always play a booking game and people can ask questions about the products in the ordering room.
For every question that they ask, you can give them a ticket. When it comes to who wins the prize, you can either do it raffle style and draw someone’s number or you can simply award it to the person who has the most tickets.
Free Party Game Ideas #2: Direct Sales Recruiting Game
Before your party, create a pack of 5-10 note cards. On one side of the card, glue a picture of one of the products that you have in your demo. On the other side write or type descriptions of the products in the manner of a script. Essentially, type up what one could say when demoing the product. You can use descriptions from the catalog, website, or even training videos.
Lay the cards on a table, picture side up. As guests arrive, have them choose a card. When you are going through your demo, have your guests come up one at a time and demo the product that they chose. You may have to give them a little help, but encourage them to be natural and just talk about the product.
What this accomplishes is showing you which of your guests would be natural consultants. You can then tell them that they did a great job and your job really isn’t much harder than what they just did. Next time, they could be the ones making money at a party!
Free Party Game Ideas #3: Direct Sales Recruiting Rhyme
Here is another great, unique way to get your guests thinking about the business opportunity. Simply give each guest a piece of paper to keep track of their score as they listen to you recite the following poem. Any who add the 25 points at the end should be followed up with about the opportunity.
If any selling you have done before,
put down 10 as the start of your score.
If you have a car and are able to drive,
the thing you must do is just add 5.
If some extra money is what you would like,
add 10 more, which is just right.
A little spare time will add to your score,
for this you may add 15 more.
If you like people and think they are grand,
add 6 more to see where you stand.
Add 10 points if you think parties are fun,
and when you add this you are almost done.
If you score the highest, it is plain to see,
a (COMPANY) Demonstrator is what you should be.
