If you are a home party consultant, party games are a MUST. One of my favorite types of home party games is raffle games. I don’t know what it is about them. Maybe the complete randomness of it. Even if one person has more tickets than everyone else, everyone still has a chance at winning.
This game is very straightforward, but can be very effective in boosting sales. Let your guests know that you will be doing a raffle at the very end of the party. Tell them that for every $20 they spend with you, their name will be entered into the drawing for a free gift. You can decide whether it would be better to keep the gift a surprise or just tell them what it is.
At the end of the show, you simply draw a name (or have the hostess draw a name) and that person is the winner. The great thing about this game is that it affords you the opportunity to upsell. For example, if one guest is ordering and has $74 worth of products on their ordering form, you can tell him/her “if you order just $6 more dollars worth of products, your name will be entered into the raffle 4 times”.
Of course, the prize would have to be worth more than $6 for them to be truly enticed, but it’s worth a shot, right?
MYSTERY HOSTESS RAFFLE
Chances are, if you are a home party consultant, you will end up hosting a party of your own. Personally, I find that I get the most attendees when I announce that the party will be a mystery hostess party.
What’s that, you ask? Well, since there is not technically a hostess, you can choose one of the guests of your party to receive the hostess rewards. All your guests have to do to enter the raffle is to show up and place an order. You can also offer them ways to earn additional entries. Some suggestions are:
*Bring a friend (extra entry for each friend they bring that is not on the original guest list)
*Bring an ordering friend (extra entry for each friend that places an order that night)
*Bring an outside order (extra entry for every outside order they bring you with the payment included)
*Ask questions (extra entry for every question they ask about the products or opportunity)
*Schedule a meeting to discuss the business opportunity
*Book a party
OUTSIDE ORDERS RAFFLE
This raffle is a great way to get your hostess actively involved and boost your party sales (which will, in most party plans, boost the hostess rewards). Have your hostess contact her friends and family about the party. Let them know that you are doing a raffle. They can purchase raffle tickets for a set price (e.g. 5 tickets for $3, 10 tickets for $6, 20 tickets for $10, etc.). The person whose raffle ticket is pulled will be the winner of the entire pot of money and can apply that money towards an order.
