Ok, so, how is a daily planner the most valuable resource you can have for your business? I don’t know about you, but if I don’t have my daily tasks down in writing, I tend to get…well, let’s say, “distracted”.
I start with email. And then I hop on Facebook just to get some posts approved for my group. But then I see a couple cute cat videos my friends posted, so I take 5 minutes to watch them. And then I see an article about growing my business on Instagram so I read that. And then I get hungry so start to look for a recipe for dinner. And then I check email again. And more Facebook posts. And then…
And then I look up and it’s almost time to get my son from school!
Where does the time go? Without a plan, I often find myself running down one rabbit hole after another, and not getting much accomplished at all.
So, at the end of my business day, I write down my tasks for the next business day, and I tackle those BEFORE I open up email or social media. And I feel so much more productive! Give it a try.
Print out your direct sales daily planner. You can print one off each day if you’d like, or, if you’re like me, you can print just one bright and shiny and pretty copy in full color, and then reuse it every day.
It’s easy to do. You can either laminate it at an office supply store for a couple bucks, or if you find yourself laminating pages frequently for your business, invest in a simple thermal laminator. This one was around $20 on Amazon. Laminate your page, and then use a wet erase marker to fill out today’s tasks, crossing them out as you complete them.
It’s better to use a wet erase marker than a dry erase one, because wet erase markers don’t smudge when you accidentally run your hand over them. They come off with a damp paper towel.
If you don’t want to invest in a laminator, another option is to simply take a page protector and slip your direct sales daily planner inside. Write on it like you would a laminated copy.
