If you are in the home party business (which I’m guessing you are since you have found your way to this awesome page) you are probably dying to fin more ways to make your parties fun and engaging. When it comes to making sure your guests enjoy themselves, your partner in crime should be your hostess. Get her involved and you are sure to have a great party!
Ok, so what are some great ways to get your hostess actively involved? Below I have a few ideas that home party consultants like you can use to inject some life into your hostess and the party.
Hostess Party Game #1: Scavenger Hunt
I can’t think of a single thing about scavenger hunts that is not fun. It gets you up and moving about. It helps to break the ice. And at the end, someone gets a prize. Jackpot!
Hostess Party Games: Hostess Scavenger Hunt
Now, this first game is more for the hostess alone. Playing this game will help the party by encouraging her to invite as many people as she possibly can. During your hostess coaching, provide your hostess with the following list of people. The goal is for her to think of one person that fits each of the following descriptions and invite each one of them to the party. If she can get at least 10 of them to show up at the party, she will win an extra special surprise (this could be anything you want it to be – double hostess rewards, an extra free gift, etc.)

- Someone who is on a diet
- A relative
- An in-law
- Someone who wears a size 9 shoe (male or female)
- A grandmother

Hostess Party Games: Just Like My Hostess
This game is one that can be played at the party. Give each of the party guests (including the hostess) a piece of paper. As you go down the list of words, each guest is to write down that word and the very first word that comes to mind. At the end of the game, call the hostess up to the front and have her list the ‘first words’ that came to mind. The party guest who has the most answers shared with the hostess wins.
This game can be a lot of fun! You can even change the words so that they fit more with your company or party theme.
